Applying for Aspen Grants
Grants in Support of Social Justice The Aspen Foundation offers grants of up to $1,500 to help schools fund innovative projects that promote student engagement in social justice activities. These grants are intended to promote a school community that values social justice over charity and bases its actions on empathy for others. Further, these advance the principles of co-operation and respect for equality, healthy workplaces, and democratic communities. Such schools foster and support the intellectual, social, emotional, and spiritual qualities in students that instill a commitment to engaged citizenship and promoting empathy and fairness, social harmony, gender equity, elimination of poverty, and peace and global education.
